#ThankYouSachin: A small tribute.

The year was 2003, it was the world cup and the match was between India and England. Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag; India was 50 something for no loss.Andrew Caddick was bowling to Sachin, it was a short ball and Tendulkar hooked the ball over square leg for 6. It is one of the most iconic hits that’s played year after year and yet it doesn’t feel old or repetitive. I was only 9 years old when this happened, yet it remains one of the most vivid moments of him in my mind. Him becoming the first cricketer to score a double century in ODIs was also very special. I really enjoyed that knock.

Just like the moment I’ve described above, there have been multiple moments that have been immortalized. in his 24 year old career. There is no achievement left to accomplish no feat to achieve in his amazing illustrious career. As he plays his final test(his 200th Test match) against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai it will be emotional for many people. #ThankYouSachin has been trending worldwide on Twitter for some time now and rightly so, the it’s the Master Blaster who is going out for one last time. So this is article is a small tribute to the Master Blaster(and hence the title of the article).

BCCI has started a great initiative for his fans. For everyone with a Twitter profile, send a tweet to @BCCI with the hashtag #ThankYouSachin and you will get a personalized digital autograph. A great way for fans to keep a personal memento.
